KEY CHALLENGES
INTRO
Dreamcore, a leading custom PC brand in Singapore, faced challenges with low conversion rates, high bounce rates, and poor mobile optimization on their website. As part of my responsibilities, I undertook a redesign to improve its usability, responsiveness, and aligned the brand's digital experience with their brand identity.
Our goal for the project was to create a refreshed interface that simplifies navigation, enhances visual appeal, and provides a streamlined shopping journey for users across devices; something that was lacking in the existing site. User research and feedback was thus crucial in this iteration.
Our design process began with a hypothesis: the website's low conversion rate of 0.2% stemmed from poor mobile optimization and a cluttered interface, making it difficult for users to find pre-configured PCs. To validate this, we conducted a survey with 100 customers, uncovering that 72% supported a redesign and emphasized price and performance as key decision factors for custom PCs.
OUTCOME
The Dreamcore website redesign addressed low conversion rates and high bounce rates by delivering a mobile-friendly, user-focused platform. With a streamlined interface and features like a robust filtering system, the site now empowers users to find and customize PCs with ease. This project highlights how data-driven design can elevate user engagement and drive meaningful business results.
Impact and Results
Incorporating user feedback was central to redesign. Based on survey insights and user pain points, I proposed to streamline the process for searching pre-configured custom PCs, making it intuitive and efficient. A key enhancement was the introduction of a robust filtering system that allowed users to search by price range and hardware manufacturer—catering directly to the top priorities of price and performance. These features simplified decision-making, empowering customers to find the perfect configuration quickly and confidently while enhancing overall user satisfaction.
